Mid-America Science Park (MASP)
Position: Maintenance

Job Objectives:
The incumbent will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repair duties for the Mid-America Science Park facility and grounds. Duties include building maintenance and construction projects, coordinating maintenance and janitorial needs, installing and replacing lighting fixtures, basic electrical work, plumbing, painting, drywall repair, scheduling repair work, and performing routine and minor repairs as needed. The position may also assist with event setup and facility operations. Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required. A detailed list of duties can be obtained from the City of Scottsburg Human Resources Office located in City Hall.

Qualifications:
Must possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent. Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license. Experience in building maintenance, construction, electrical, plumbing, or related fields is preferred.

Now Hiring: Water Plant Operator
City of Scottsburg Water Plant

Job Responsibilities:
The Water Plant Operator is responsible for performing daily operational and maintenance duties, including but not limited to:

  • Taking and logging daily meter readings
  • Ordering chemicals and supplies
  • Collecting and running water samples for required testing
  • Responding to customer questions and complaints
  • Performing general maintenance tasks
  • Replacing reader pads and small pumps
  • Completing reports for various regulatory agencies

Qualifications:
– High school diploma or GED, with related technical training
– Valid driver’s license
– Possession of a WT Operator 4 license

Work Schedule: 
This is a night shift position.
