Position: Intern
Looking to gain real-world experience and make an impact in your community? The City of Scottsburg Mayor’s Office is seeking a motivated and dependable Intern to join our team.
This is a great opportunity for college students or recent high school graduates interested in public service, local government, communications, or business operations. As an intern, you’ll get hands-on experience working in a fast-paced office environment while learning how local government serves the community.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as a first point of contact by answering phones and welcoming visitors
- Assist with day-to-day office operations and administrative tasks
- Help prepare documents, communications, and reports
- Maintain and organize records and contact lists
- Support special projects and community initiatives as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED (college students encouraged to apply!)
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Interest in public service or local government is a plus
