Westwood Golf Course

“Westwood Golf Course is a 9-hole public golf course located just a mile West of Interstate 65 on Highway 56 in Scottsburg, Indiana. Westwood is a par 35 course measuring just under 3,000 yards from the longest tees. Water comes into play on 5 of the 9 holes on the course. Hole #6 is regarded as one of the toughest par 3 holes in Southern Indiana, and is the signature hole of the course. Westwood Golf Course was designed by Gilbert England and opened to the public in 1966. It has a course rating of 35.5 and a slope rating of 113.
Westwood Golf Course has a remodeled Pro Shop that was the original house owned by original course owner Homer Madden. The pro shop offers name brand golf clubs from Callaway, Cobra, TaylorMade and Titleist. There is also a large outside deck that allows visitors to observe 7 of the 9 holes on the golf course. “Buried Lies” is our lounge and features Hi-Definition action on our widescreen tv!”

Scott County Family YMCA
The Scott County Family YMCA is your provider for all types of fun activities. The 25,000 square foot facility on 15 acres houses fitness equipment and services designed to promote a healthy spirit and body for individuals and families. The facility includes:
- 11,000 square foot gymnasium for basketball and volleyball, along with an elevated running/walking track surrounding the gym floor.

The Great Outdoors
Scottsburg is conveniently located in the middle of some amazing outdoor opportunities!
The Knobstone Trail, Indiana’s longest footpath, runs just east of Scottsburg! Streching from Deam Lake, just north of State Road 60 in Clark County, to Delaney Park in Washington County, the 58-mile trail is a breathtaking trip through some of Indiana’s beautiful backcountry.

Clifty Falls State Park
To the East of Scottsburg, in Jefferson County, is the beautiful Clifty Falls State Park. With numerous trails, several waterfalls, camping facilities, a large swimming pool, and the Clifty Inn (Overlooking the Ohio River & Historic Madison) Clifty Falls State Park offers something for just about everyone!

Hardy Lake, just to the North-East of Scottsburg, offers opportunities for boating, swimming, fishing, hiking, camping & more! Hardy Lake is also the home to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources only Raptor (Bird-of-Prey) rehabilitation facility, whose staff teaches around the area about Indiana’s magnificent birds-of-prey!

Clark State Forest
Directly South of Scottsburg, on US-31, is the Clark State Forest. Indiana’s oldest State Forest offers opportunities for Hunting, Fishing, Camping, & Picnicking. A popular attraction is the fire tower overlooking the forest, and most of the surrounding areas!
